Treatment

The film will be shot in once recomposing master. This is as a test of my abilities and to try something within the bounds of school.

The story follows the main character, Guitar, who starts off the film playing a simple melody over and over again. The camera will reveal slowly that Guitar has blood on their face. Guitar's eyes will have the thousand yard stare. A medic will come into the film, checking Guitar, ultimately deciding that they are simply in shock. It will be after this that we see the visions of Guitar in the sky, showing his love, who has died. We go back to Guitar as medic tries to get his attention again but fails. After a moment, Guitar finally gets up, gets into a runners stance and books it towards the water, the medic and their partner trying to catch Guitar. Cut to black.

The sound will incorporate a few major pieces. The first will be the use of a musical motif (the melody Guitar plays at the start) that helps tie the whole film together in different sequences. This melody will be expanded on when the song it comes from goes into a faster pace and that will be used for when Guitar runs off. The second will be the use of sound to give some knowledge and perspective into Guitar's mental state (one such moment being when Guitar hears a ringing tone in his ear instead of the Medic's words. The third will be off-screen sounds that give context to the story such as the sounds of a bag zipping, sirens, and other such things to let the viewers know that someone has died.
